Click here to visit our forum.Just about a week shy of one year since Shup v0.26, I have finally gotten off my butt and fixed some of the problems people were reporting. The big recurring problem for a lot of people involved corrupted custom uploader profiles, but other things like image editor crash bugs were fixed too.
The main feature added in this release is copy/paste functionality in the image editor. You can copy selected areas using the marquee tool and paste them back into the image or an external program, or you can paste images from external programs into Shup (provided the canvas is large enough). This feature is in its infancy and will likely require some changes to how the image editor window acts before it becomes truly useful.
Aside from that, Lorde Cryptomail graced Cosmic Shovel HQ with his presence/presents a while back and dropped a code bomb! Upload speed and % completed stats are back on the upload progress meter, woot! It even matches your Shup theme ;]

File Uploading & Upload History
Shup is great for uploading all kinds of files, especially when combined with the included Windows shell extension. With it, you can upload with Shup by right-clicking on a file in Explorer! Not only can Shup upload all kinds of files, it can also upload to many different hosts, including:
- Flickr
- ImageShack
- PhotoBucket BROKEN
- ScrnShots NEW
- Stashbox
- REAPER Resource Repositorium
- Waffle Images
You can also create custom site profiles and upload to your own web server; we even provide a sample PHP script to get you started.
Shup keeps track of all your uploads in a searchable database, as well as a local archive of uploaded images (optional). The history window displays information such as the local filename and URL of the uploaded file.
Built-in Image Editor
As a Shup user, most of your time will likely be spent in the image editor, as it is designed to make creating/editing and uploading images as easy as possible. The image editor provides a paintbrush and a highlighter pen for drawing, as well as a rectangle tool for flood filling and cropping your images. And it supports unlimited-ish levels of undo, so you can roll back changes if you like. You can also upload your image as many times as you want, directly from the editor (known as checkpointing around Shup HQ).

You can use Shup's system-wide hotkeys to capture your desktop or a specific window into the image editor for manipulation or upload. The hotkeys are customizable and optional, even, for those who like to live outside the box.

Shup supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, and (kinda) Windows Vista/7. The shell extension is broken on x64 and Vista/7 at this time.
